    Corrections Policy & Log

CalcPlanet calculators are used for real decisions about money, health and projects, so a wrong result matters. This page explains how the CalcPlanet Editorial Team handles reported errors and keeps a dated record of every correction we publish. Policy last updated: 2026-09-30.

    What counts as a correction

    • A calculator returns a wrong result for valid inputs, or rounds in a misleading way.
    • A formula, constant, tax bracket, fee or rate shown on a page is incorrect or out of date.
    • A worked example, FAQ answer or guide contains a factual or arithmetic mistake.
    • A unit, currency or label is wrong (for example a metric value labeled as imperial).

Typo fixes, layout changes and wording improvements that do not change meaning are not logged as corrections.

    How to report an error

Email info@calcplanet.com or use the contact page. Please include the page address, the inputs you entered, the result you saw and the result you expected, plus a source if you have one.

How reports are reviewed and corrected

    • Every report is read and the calculation is reproduced with the same inputs.
    • The formula is checked against the primary source listed on the page or in our formula sourcing documentation.
    • If the page is wrong, the formula or content is fixed, an automated regression test is added where possible, and the page's review date is updated.
    • Material corrections are added to the log below with the date, the page and a plain-language summary.
    • If the page is correct, we reply explaining the method and the source used.
