    About CalcPlanet

    Our Mission

CalcPlanet provides free online calculators to help people understand everyday calculations. Our mission is to make methods, inputs and assumptions easier to inspect, whether you are checking a percentage, comparing a mortgage scenario or estimating materials.

Our English-language calculator library covers math, finance, health, crypto, science, engineering, business and daily life. Core calculators do not require an account. Results are estimates or mathematical outputs based on the inputs and assumptions described on each page, not professional advice.

    Methods and Accountability

The CalcPlanet Editorial Team maintains calculator explanations and guides. Our approach is to:

    • Use established mathematical and scientific methods, with relevant publications, government standards and financial sources where applicable
    • Document formulas, units and assumptions so users can inspect the method
    • Use worked examples to explain calculation steps
    • Describe limitations rather than promise an outcome
    • Use deterministic tests and regression cases, and review reproducible error reports

Read our full Data Accuracy & Formula Sources page and Editorial Standards for details.

    Technology

CalcPlanet uses React and TypeScript for its web interface and calculator implementations. Standard calculations run in the browser. Features that use external data or optional cloud processing need a connection and may have different limitations. Analytics, advertising consent and optional cloud features are described in the Privacy Policy.
