    Cookie Policy

This page explains, in plain language, how CalcPlanet uses cookies and similar browser storage. It is maintained by the CalcPlanet team and is part of our Privacy Policy.

    Before you make a choice

When you first open CalcPlanet, no third-party cookie is set and no third-party advertising, analytics or affiliate script is loaded by the site. Google Consent Mode is initialised with every storage category denied. Calculators work fully in this state — you never have to accept anything to use a tool.

One exception can come from our CDN rather than from the site itself: Cloudflare can serve Google’s measurement tag from a first-party path on this domain. Because Consent Mode is already set to denied at that moment, it may only send a cookieless, non-personalised measurement ping and cannot write a cookie or an advertising identifier until you accept.

    Strictly necessary storage

We store a small number of first-party values in your browser's local storage so the site behaves correctly. These are not used for advertising or profiling and are never shared:

    • cp_consent_choice — remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies.
    • Theme preference — remembers light or dark mode.
    • Language preference — remembers the interface language you selected.
    • Recent calculators and saved results — kept on your device only, so you can return to a calculation.

    Only after you accept

If you press “Accept” in the cookie banner, we load the following third-party services. Each one may set its own cookies under its own policy:

    • Google AdSense (advertising) — used to show ads that help keep every calculator free.
    • Google Analytics 4 (measurement) — aggregated page and event statistics.
    • Microsoft Clarity (product analytics) — anonymised interaction heatmaps used to fix usability problems.
    • Skimlinks (affiliate attribution) — attributes purchases made through outgoing product links.

If you press “Reject”, none of the services above are loaded during your visit, and no request is sent to them.

    Advertising and personalisation

Advertising is served by Google AdSense. With consent granted, Google may use cookies to personalise ads; without consent no ad script is requested at all. Ads never appear on legal pages, search or account pages, error pages, or on any page we have excluded from indexing.

    Changing or withdrawing your choice

Use the “Manage cookies” link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your decision. Withdrawing consent stops future loading of the services above. You can additionally clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings, or use your browser's do-not-track and blocking features.
